Dialysis Training Institute Announces The Gregory Falconer Scholarship

Buena Park, California- Dialysis Training Institute has announced that $48,000 in merit-based scholarships are available for students in four Southern California school districts. The Gregory Falconer Merit Scholarship is designed to recognize students who have demonstrated academic accomplishments as well as significant accomplishments in community service and in life.
“We are delighted to announce this scholarship which commemorates the success of one of the largest accomplishments leading into adulthood,” says Cheryl Falconer, DTI founder and Chief Executive Director. DTI understands that education costs can be overbearing and can limit opportunities and we would like to help make a difference in deserving students’ lives. Our educational program is committed to providing our students with a superior educational experience.
The scholarships are valued from $1,000 to $7,000. Twenty-four scholarships will be awarded without regard to families’ financial circumstances. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in the Hemodialysis Technician program or the Nephrology BioMedical program.
All graduating seniors who attend a public, private, charter, or continuation school in the Downey Unified School District, ABC Unified School District, Anaheim Union High School District, and Long Beach unified District are eligible for consideration based upon their completed application to DTI, received no later than June 1, 2015. The scholarship applications are available at participating high schools and their district offices. Applicants are encouraged to highlight their community service involvement and academic achievements in their applications.
