Buena Park, California- Dialysis Training Institute has announced that $65,000 in merit-based scholarships will be available for students of Southern California high school districts. The Gregory Falconer Merit Scholarship is designed to recognize students who have demonstrated academic accomplishments as well as significant accomplishments in community service and in life.
“We are delighted to announce this scholarship which commemorates the success of one of the largest accomplishments leading into adulthood,” says Cheryl Falconer, DTI founder and Chief Executive Director. DTI understands that education costs can be overbearing and can limit opportunities and we would like to take this opportunity to help make a difference in deserving students’ lives. Our educational program is committed to providing our students with a superior educational experience.
The scholarships are valued from $2,000 to $7,000. Twenty scholarships will be awarded without regard to families’ financial circumstances. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in the Hemodialysis Technician program or the Nephrology Biomedical program.
All graduating seniors who attend a public, private, or charter school in southern California are eligible for consideration based on their completed application to DTI. Applications must be received no later than April 1, 2017. The scholarship application is available on the DTI website. Applicants are encouraged to highlight their community service involvement and academic achievements in their applications.
